...when after several weeks of post-Holiday festivities and responses I sat down to give my new with set a trial run. I was concerned about being able to handle the leads and pencil without breaking too many - I broke none. I was skeptical about the time it would take to change leads - compares favorably with loading and testing a brush.
I overcame a certain amount of "painters" block and started my test drive. All was well; I got a fun sketch started and going until the cedar pencil jammed.
It had worked well for several lead changes and then it "locked up" about half way down. No leads are broken so it is clearly a mechanical failure and not an operator error.
I have not found a way to exchange the pencil and I thought with should be aware that this can happen.

So much fun to play around with the pencil. Great for on the go when I dont have the space for all my usual pencils!
